As mentioned in our first blog post, Pixabay was originally developed as a safe resource of copyright-free quality images for users on our writers' networks Wizzley.com and Pagewizz.com.
In the meantime, our database has grown enormously, and today we are hosting almost 43.000 public domain photos and cliparts, which can be used freely by anyone for virtually any application. And from now on, our authors can comfortably search Pixabay images directly from within their article editor.
What's Wizzley and Pagewizz after all?
On Wizzley you can create own articles for free about almost any topic. Your articles are public and in general they quickly gain popularity due to both, Wizzley's great ranking on Google and our active community of writers and readers. Pagewizz is thereby the sister website of Wizzley, providing the same interface in German and in French. It's a bit like blogging, only better :-)
- Creating articles is downright simple and free of charge.
- Gain lots of readers from high ranking articles on Google.
- Find friends and followers among the community and share interests.
- Easily integrate your own ads on articles to earn royalties or promote services, and profit from automatically inserted ads.
And this is how our new feature looks like inside Wizzley's article editor:

Pixabay image search in Wizzley's article editor
By using Pixabay's API, we already plan extending this feature to show search results directly inside the editor, so that users may insert selected pictures by a simple click. Coming soon ...
